A New Year Prayer for You
May God open your spiritual eyes to see more of the heavenly glory and power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
so that you look forward to all He has planned for you in 2007
with eager anticipation, courage and childlike trust.

Our dear friend,
Our loving New Year’s wishes to you. May God keep shining the light of His presence upon you so that in this new year, His beauty and glory is reflected ever more clearly through all aspects of your life.
How have you been keeping throughout this past year? We trust that you have again proven that God’s grace is more than sufficient, and have experienced His many timely touches upon your life.
This has certainly been true throughout this past year in our lives. Here are just a few of the ways God’s goodness and kindness has touched our lives.
Touches of God’s grace in 2006
- A boy is born … Timothy Henry born to Alison and Andrew on Sept.18, a little brother to Grace
- A decision is made … Scott, Suzy with Zach, Joel and Daniel moved home from Hong Kong to California
- A relationship is formed … Elizabeth met David Morgan in Cooma, and in November they announced their engagement
- A life is lived … David & Janette’s lives last year passed without any dramatic changes, though 3 ½ year old Freya’s daily antics and comments have been a constant delight
- A book is birthed … our book entitled United in Marriage by One Lord: God’s Wisdom on Intermarriage in a Multifaith World was published (September)
- A goal is pursued … together with the Indonesian publisher we’re working hard towards the publication of the Indonesian translation of our book
- A website is launched … see for yourself the result of excellent designing and hard work: www.equipandencourageintl.net.au
- A calling is followed … daily in different places and ways, we continued equipping and encouraging God’s people through emails, in teaching sessions (July in Indonesia, and Russia in October), in face to face sharing times at home or on the move
So passes another year. What about the new year? None of us knows what lies ahead, except that God will order our days in the year 2007. We have our plans, hopes and dreams, but only as we first seek and then follow God’s ways and plans will our new year be a truly blessed year.
Here are some of the thoughts and dreams which we’re praying about as we prepare ourselves for 2007:
Glimpses of God’s plans for 2007
- More momentous family moments … especially wedding bells for Elizabeth and David on April 1
- More work on our book … promoting the English edition, proof-reading the Indonesian edition, exploring other language editions (find more information about the availability of our book on our website ~ look under Writings & Publications, then Books)
- More writing … encouragement emails, papers, materials (for our website), articles, books (as the Spirit guides)
- More opportunities to equip and encourage God’s people: in Australia (whenever, wherever!), also in Russia, the Czech Republic & Indonesia.
- More family visits (as the Lord provides) … to our children and grandchildren in Australia, Indonesia & the States
- More proving God’s mercies and faithfulness amid the expected and the unexpected…. trusting in God for His provision and protection each day, as we wait eagerly for Jesus’ return
May God’s blessings that He has made available to all through faith in Jesus, His beloved Son, keep renewing your life throughout 2007.
