“Rejoice with those who rejoice...” (Romans 12:15)

Dear friends,
Let me begin by asking you a question: “What do you usually do with good news?” You keep it to yourself, right? Wrong! Another question: “What does the apostle Paul tell us to do when a fellow-believer rejoices?” To be cool and not show too much enthusiasm, right? Wrong again!
Okay, you get my point, so I can get down to the very good news.
Firstly, God has answered our prayers and given our Alison and Andrew and little Grace a healthy baby son and brother, born on Monday afternoon, September 18. His name? Timothy Henry. Dimensions? 52 cms long, 3.52 kg (7 lb 12 oz). He’s looking absolutely great and Alison is recovering well from the C-Section delivery. THANK YOU for praying for Alison, and also for Timothy’s safe arrival.
Grace has begun making her acquaintance with her baby brother, eyeing him with some wonderment, while getting on with her own life. Little does she realise that Timothy’s arrival on the scene will make some radical changes to her life-style!
Secondly, this coming Monday, September 25 (give a day or two!), the printer will deliver 4,000 copies of our book to the OM Books warehouse in Hyderabad, India.
Of course, we’re sure you will want to read the book yourself J ! But we’re also asking you to help us promote the book through the network of contacts that you have in your church or Christian organisation as well as among your friends.
It’s our prayer that you will also use this book to minister to fellow-believers to whom the counsel in the book is addressed. Please keep in mind that our book is not a dry treatise on the subject of Intermarriage but a MINISTRY tool. From the beginning, our vision and burden has been to ENCOURAGE & COUNSEL God’s people for whom the nitty-gritty issues of a relationship with a non-Christian partner or spouse are very real and often distressing. (“Non-Christian”: from another religion.) So nothing will give us greater joy than hearing your stories how God has worked through this book to bless some fellow-traveller in the Christian journey.
When will you be able to purchase a copy for yourself? And how? You may still have to wait some weeks even months. However, we are doing all we can in fellowship with OM Books to facilitate the book’s speedy distribution around the world.

THANK YOU for rejoicing with us as we rejoice in each of these wonderful answers to prayer. However, let’s not also forget the second part of Paul’s exhortation in Romans 12:15b – “… mourn with those who mourn.” Shortly past midnight last night, three Indonesian Christians were executed before a firing squad in Sulawesi. A travesty of justice! Today we mourn and grieve their death. And there are many more “unknown Christian soldiers” who are enduring great trials and sufferings for the sake of the glorious Gospel. Let’s keep standing with them in countries like Indonesia, North Korea, China, Central Asia, the Middle East, Eritrea and elsewhere around the world. Pray for them as we would wish they to be prayed for if we were the ones facing the torture chamber or the firing squad.
